Wife of VOTQT Member, Featured on Fox News!

Nashville, TN (March 12, 2024) Following the President’s State Of The Union Address on Friday night, FOX News interviewed a panel of leading conservative Christian voices. Julie Harris, wife of Voice Of Truth Quartet member, Jonathan Harris, is the President of the National Federation Of Republican Women and was featured in the discussion.

We spoke with Julie about this and she stated, “I joined Fox News to provide an analysis of the Republican Women’s reaction to the State Of The Union address. Unfortunately, we heard no solutions to the pressing issues Americans are most concerned about including the top three urgent threats facing our country; the border crisis, the state of the economy, and inflation.”

BMG Label owner and producer, Les Butler, added, “I salute the (Voice Of Truth) quartet, especially Jonathan and his wife, Julie. They desire to see the hand of God to remain on America. To that, I say, amen!”

Greg Bentley Honored With SGMG 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award

On Tuesday, March 12, members of the Southern Gospel Music Guild gathered at BMI in Nashville, TN, to honor industry leader, Greg Bentley, with the 2024 SGMG Lifetime Achievement Award.

A positive force in gospel music, Greg began his full-time career in the industry in 1984 as tenor for the legendary family group, The Hoppers. He went on to travel with the Down East Boys, then toured for a decade with beloved industry icon, Squire Parsons, as a member of Squire’s trio. Greg is a multiple Singing News Fan Award nominee for both Favorite Tenor and Favorite Young Artist.

Greg has been an integral part of the team at Crossroads Label Group since 1993 and has made an indelible mark on the careers of numerous artists, including The Talleys, The Kingdom Heirs, Ivan Parker, The Kingsmen, The McKameys, 11th Hour, Endless Highway, Mark Bishop and many more. He currently serves as head of publishing and artist relations for the stalwart label group.

“Greg Bentley has a heart for God and a passion for gospel music,” shared SGMG Vice President and Director of Membership, Beckie Simmons. “He approaches everything he does with professionalism and kindness and works tirelessly to serve this great industry. We are thrilled to present Greg with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award! So deserving!”

Gospel music luminary and co-founder of Crossroads Label Group, Chris White, lauded Greg for his dedication, “I’ve known and worked with Greg for over 35 years. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. Greg is as solid as a rock. Yes, I’ve seen that rock crack a few times over the years, but I’ve never seen it break! His character, integrity and his devotion to everything he believes in is as good as it gets!”

Longtime member of the gospel music community and SGMG President, Elliott McCoy, stated, “As president of the Southern Gospel Music Guild, I want to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Greg Bentley. His contributions to the gospel music community as both an artist and record label executive have been profoundly impactful. It is a well-deserved honor.”

Greg conveyed his gratefulness for the award. “From the time I was 12 years old and saw the Gospel Singing Jubilee on TV, I was hooked. I loved the harmonies of it and the passion in it, and I still love gospel music as much today as I did back then. I am honored and humbled to receive this award, and I appreciate the Guild, the record labels, the promoters and the artists for what they do for the Kingdom. That is the main thing; that we do it for the Kingdom.

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Remind Believers “We Are The Church”

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Gospel music’s premier quartet, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, is set to kick off the year with an impassioned new single, “We Are The Church,” releasing Friday from StowTown Records. In addition, the GRAMMY® nominated, Dove Award-winning group’s popular “Friday Night Sing” YouTube series will make its highly anticipated return February 2.

Inaugurating Ernie Haase & Signature Sound’s third decade of music and ministry, “We Are The Church” was penned by Haase, Sue C. Smith and Lee Black and produced by Wayne Haun. Choral and orchestral arrangements of “We Are The Church” will also be available for congregational use. The anthem, which epitomizes the group’s mission, sounds a clarion call for believers to stand firm in faith amidst worldly despair.

“I came to the table with this idea a couple of months ago, troubled by the way things are trending in our culture,” Haase shares of the song’s inspiration. “While it seems we’re all on edge these days and the future is uncertain, I want to remind my brothers and sisters in Christ that we’re not called to fight for an earthly kingdom. We’re here to promote an eternal agenda, one that defines who we are and Whose we are—bought by the blood of Jesus. Because of that glorious truth, we can weather any storm.”

Haase continues, “Jesus says in John 16:33, ‘I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.’ No matter what the days ahead hold, we have this assurance. Who we are matters. We are the Church and it’s time to stand on that foundation.”

Subsequently, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound are poised to launch the long-awaited third season of their popular “Friday Night Sing” series. Debuting February 2 at 7:00 pm ET on YouTube, the six-episode season will be highlighted by intimate acoustic performances from the quartet, as well as special greetings from Bill Gaither, The Oak Ridge Boys, Sandi Patty and Pastor Robert Jeffress, among other friends of the group. A new episode will premier every Friday evening through March 8.

Originating as a way for the group to connect with their fans during the pandemic, “Friday Night Sing” exploded in popularity, with many episodes amassing large audiences and new viewers tuning in from more than 30 countries. “We’ve heard people loud and clear from all over the world; they’ve missed the community we’ve built virtually from our living rooms to theirs on Friday nights,” Haase says of the show’s return. “The stories we share and the fellowship we have through this online format just isn’t possible to this extent on the road.”

“Last year while we were touring in Scotland, we met a family with five children who told us they looked forward to watching ‘Friday Night Sing’ each week,” he continues. “Despite the time difference, which meant they were viewing it live in the wee hours of the morning in Scotland, they wanted the opportunity to watch it together with everyone around the world. That means so much to us, witnessing people come together to share this unique experience.”

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound’s new single and “Friday Night Sing” reboot arrive on the heels of a watershed year for the group. Commemorating two decades of music and ministry in 2023, the quartet marked the milestone with the release of Live in Amsterdam: A 20th Anniversary Celebration last summer, and they shared the stage with the most awarded a cappella group in history, Take 6, for a showstopping performance during the 54th Annual GMA Dove Awards in October.
