Lu Lu Roman Set to Appear on Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee

Sevierville, TN (May 14, 2021)
Hee Haw star, Lu Lu Roman is set to appear on Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee.

Many people will remember the fun packed family television program, Hee Haw. The program mixed country music and comedy based fun in a rural farm type setting. The show that began in 1969 continues to attract fans as it still appears on syndication in select markets. One of the most popular starts to come from that show was Lu Lu Roman. In fact, it was Lu Lu that landed Gospel music as a fixture on Hee Haw.

Lu Lu Roman continues to travel around the world and sing gospel music. She has sustained many hardships through her life but continues to minister and sing when given the opportunity.

Lu Lu will be appearing on the Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 6pm. The show broadcasts from Ogle Furniture Outlet on Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville, TN. The program is celebrating its 10th Anniversary on the air and is hosted by Gospel music veteran, JP Miller.

“I have worked with Lu Lu for years and is always so much fun when she is around! Lu just celebrated her 75th Birthday and is going strong! She will share some of her famous songs as well as talk about her autobiography. She is always a crowd favorite and we expect a great time this Monday night!” said JP Miller.

The show is open to the public with free admission. Guests can sit in the recliners in the furniture store and there are always prizes given away after the program. Folks will have the opportunity to purchase Lu Lu’s music, her book, and take a picture or two. People are encouraged to arrive by 5:30pm for a good seat and parking spot. They expect a good crowd. The Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee airs live on Praise 96.3FM and around the world from their Facebook page.

Ron and Betty Ogle are the executive producers of the Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee and have supported JP Miller from the start. They asked JP to do two things with the program, uplift Jesus and benefit the community. With ten years under the belt and going strong into the future, it seems JP Miller and his Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee have done just that!
