Award-Winning Artist Blends Traditional and New Favorites

In All-New Studio CD Releasing in October

NASHVILLE, TN (October 19, 2015) On the heels of Gordon Mote’s Dove Award-nominated project, All Things New, New Haven Records recently announced the upcoming release of Gordon Mote Sings Hymns and Songs of Inspiration. Produced by Mote and industry legends Phil Johnson and Wayne Haun, this all-new treasury of traditional favorites and new classics blends Inspirational, Southern, Country and Pop styles to create an album that is fresh yet timeless.

New Haven Records president Ken Harding comments, “I’m constantly amazed how Gordon can make the most familiar song seem new and the newest song feel ageless. We’re thrilled to share his new album with the world.”

In addition to such beloved hymns as “Power in the Blood,” “Amazing Grace,” “Great Is They Faithfulness,” and “Just As I Am,” Gordon features the new contemporary worship classics, “Because He Lives (Amen)” and “Holy Spirit.” Famed gospel producer/arranger Percy Gray, Jr. adds Chicago Mass Choir’s trademark gospel vocals to “Precious Lord, Take My Hand” and “The Voices of Lee” lend their considerable choral prowess as well. Mote contributes his own inspiring composition, “Only Jesus Can Heal This Hurting World” to this 13-song set.

Gordon reflects, “Growing up in our little town of Gadsden, AL, our whole family would listen as Harry Butler hosted ‘Songs of Inspiration’ every Sunday morning on WGAD Radio. Even though we were just kids, my brother and I couldn’t wait to hear the latest songs from new and familiar groups. Over the decades, ‘Songs of Inspiration’ has blessed—and still blesses–lots of folks. In some small way, I’m hoping to honor and extend that legacy with this new project.”

Through the years, Mote has enjoyed a high profile as a featured performer on The Gaither Homecoming Concert series as well as one of Music City’s most celebrated session players—culminating in two recent Academy of Country Music and Music Row Magazine Awards for Instrumentalist of the Year. Since stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, Gordon has recorded an impressive body of work—three instrumental and six vocal albums — including Don’t Let Me Miss the Glory (2007), Songs I Grew Up Singing (2012) and his acclaimed Christmas collection, The Star Still Shines (2012) as well as the Dove Award-nominated CD’s If You Could Hear What I See (2004) and All Things New (2012).

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (October 28, 2015) Multi-talented Gospel performer and musician Lindsey Graham gave three impressive performances in three shows at Dollywood Monday, October 26th, had a great time doing it. The rain couldn’t keep the crowds away as she introduced two brand new songs from her upcoming album, I Lift My Voice, set to release early November.

One of those in attendance sent this message to Lindsey’s FaceBook page regarding the performance, “We saw Lindsey at Dollywood today October 26th. Dollywood is in the middle of their Gospel and Harvest Celebration with tons of musical groups from all over the country. Without a doubt, Lindsey stopped me and my wife cold while walking by her outdoor venue to listen to her program. Her stage energy and vocal range is off the charts fantastic. We stood with our black umbrellas in a steady rain (because every seat had been taken) to listen to her (and her Dad) perform. During a solid week and a half of watching many, many different groups, she was solidly the best. Thank you Dolly for giving us Lindsey. Do yourself a huge favor and find a way to listen to her God Given talent (her ministry is in Fort Myers Florida). WOW….she’s phenomenal. Hartford Kentucky, where Lindsey and my wife were born and raised, treated the world to a wonderful talent that landed in my home state of Florida. Your auditory and sensory nerve endings won’t be disappointed by what you hear and see from Lindsey Graham.”

Lindsey commented, “This was my first time at Dollywood as a solo artist. Such a wonderful opportunity as the staff was hospitable and the crowds were encouraging to me on and off the stage. I am most grateful for God blessing us with His presence during all three sets. It is clear God was doing a work in and through His people, even at a theme park. Thank you Singing News for the opportunity. Thank you Dollywood for honoring God by hosting this annual Gospel Harvest Fest.”

Dahlonega, Georgia (October 16, 2015) Daywind Recording artist Karen Peck and New River won the Southern Gospel Album of the Year for their newest CD titled Pray Now. The Award was presented at the 46th Annual GMA Dove Awards Ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee on October 13th. The project was produced by Wayne Haun.

Karen stated, “We are deeply honored and thankful. Pray Now is a very special album that resonates where we have been spiritually this year. Each song is a statement of faith and encouragement. The Lord sent these songs at the right time in our ministry and we are grateful that they are drawing people to Him. We are blessed beyond measure.”

In the post award press conference Karen said, “We know what we do is a calling and it’s about seeing people saved and hearts touched and turned toward the Lord. That’s the number one goal, but nights like tonight was the Lord encouraging us. Next year will mark the 25th anniversary that Susan and I started this group and we’re so thankful we’re still out here after all these years.”

The title cut of the album “Pray Now” hit the number one spot on numerous charts and echoes the feelings of so many people dealing with life’s struggles. This is the fourth Dove Award win for the group.
